Research suggests a wooden future for skyscrapers | Paradigm Shifts | Scoop.it
“Recent reports suggest that wooden skyscrapers could become a feature of our city skylines in the near future.”
Joel Barker's curator insight, July 7, 2013 5:10 PM

New thinking for tall buildings. While this article doesn't do a CO2 analysis, it is known that making concrete the way we do today, produces lots of CO2 whereas wooden buildings would capture the carbon in wood for a long period of time. Keep in mind, there is very recent research on making concrete with a dramatically lower amount of CO2 generated in the process. JB
