Irgendwie habe ich es heute doch noch geschafft, wieder Fotos für meine Wintertour zu besorgen. Und das, obwohl ich mich bei meinem Vorgehen leicht verschätzt habe. Mein ursprünglicher Gedanke war, eine kleine Installation zu besuchen, die man schnell mit ein paar wenigen Bildern vorstellen kann. Also habe ich mir das Weihnachts-Setting von "StoryBrooke Gardens" ausgesucht. Von diesem Ort wüsste ich, dass es eine Plattform hoch über der bekannten Landschaft von Baja Norte ist

Doch meine Annahme, dass StoryBrooke Gardens eine kleine Plattform wäre, stellte sich dann als Irrtum heraus. Sie ist genauso groß, wie die komplette Region und sie ist so voll mit Szenen und Deko-Objekten, dass ich bei meiner Runde sicher nur die Hälfte gesehen habe. Dieser Überfluss ist auch schnell erklärt. Baja Norte ist ein Fullprim Sim und Betreiberin Lauren Bentham hat bereits das Upgrade auf 30.000 Prims vollzogen. Allerdings sind jetzt immer noch 12.700 Prims frei, was schier unglaublich erscheint, wenn man auch noch die Landschaft unten auf Meereshöhe kennt..

Der Winter Forest auf Elven Glade, hat mich heute wirklich begeistert. Zuma Jupiter hat da eine Landschaft wie aus einem Märchen geschaffen. Ich finde die fast ausschließliche Verwendung von gelbem Licht und blauem Schnee sehr angenehm, was mich bei meinem Rundgang echt entspannt hat. Ich habe mich am Ende sogar für 15 Minuten auf eine der schwebenden Inseln gesetzt und von dort mit der Kamera auch noch die Ecken angesehen, zu denen keine Wege führen. Auf diese Region werde ich in den Weihnachtsfeiertagen noch einmal gehen.

Many places we revisit in SL hold special memories for us. We may have memories of good times with friends, meeting someone special, or perhaps just those soothing feelings of peace and relaxation. Many of my favorite places were ones that were shown to me by experienced friends quite early on in my SL journey. Tempura, however, is one I stumbled across all on my own.

One of the first distinctive things visitors will notice upon landing at Tempura is the music. Each time one lands at Tempura, the music is the same. A pleasant custom playlist of New Age, film scores, and other music  (that loops about very hour or so) welcomes visitors and lends a soothing ambience to the place.

I discovered this sim recently and I really enjoyed the visuals provided by the builders. It was a great place to get some great photos of. I love countrysides and landscapes and there’s no shortage of those here along with plenty of farm animals and a few neat automobiles.

Mit Rosemoor habe ich mir heute eine Region herausgesucht, die ich bereits im Sommer dieses Jahres hier vorgestellt hatte. Damals war die Region eine der meist fotografierten in SL. Das ist bei der aktuelle Winterlandschaft nicht der Fall, wobei das nicht daran liegt, dass die Region keine Ausstrahlung hat. Aber bei den vielen gute Wintersims, ragt sie eben von der Gestaltung auch nicht besonders heraus.

Many picturesque wintery sims are popping up left and right in Second Life, and one that's sure to warm the hearts of many explorers is Fris' Land, created by Charlie Namiboo and Frislanda Ferraris. In summer 2016, the popular sim they had created in partnership with Annabelle Barzane — Frisland (read here) — closed after a great two-year run in which one of the seasonal designs was a snow-covered landscape. Now, for a limited time, that landscape has had a revival of sorts, and previous visitors to Frisland are certain to travel down memory lane at Fris' Land.

Yasminia is a lovely photogenic sim with rolling hills, dusty, rustic pathways, and a calm pastoral setting that makes it very easy to slip from the cares and concerns of the real world. I imagined myself walking on a crisp fall day, the near-winter air mixing with the humus-scent of the leaf litter I was kicking up. The music stream is a soft groove that puts in a mellow mood.
