This is a powerful way of showing what's been happening. Everyone needs to pay attention to these kinds of trends because of their long term impact on population dynamics in different countries. Most often those who migrate are the biggest risk takers or with nothing to lose. Think of the loss of your risk takers who often become entrepreneurs. The other aspect of migration which is not shown on this graph is the willingness of the migrants to adapt to and accept the culture of their new country. That would be an interesting chart.  JB
